Roylan was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, on August 8th, 1992. In January of 1993, his loving parents, Altagracia and Danilo Fernandez, made the move to New York City, where he would grow up as the eldest, quietly stepping into a role of responsibility long before most ever have to. From an early age, there was a steadiness to him, a calm, grounded presence that others naturally leaned on, even if he never asked for it. He became the first in his family to graduate from college, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Maritime. It was there that he met his best friend, Jerson, forming a bond built on mutual respect, shared ambition, and an unspoken understanding of what it meant to carry responsibility with quiet strength. After graduating, he began his career at BlackRock, where he dedicated over a decade of his life. He approached his work the same way he approached everything else, with discipline, consistency, and a sense of duty that did not need recognition to be real. From a young age, Roylan had a natural affinity for working with his hands. He was drawn to anything mechanical or technical, finding both focus and purpose in understanding how things worked and how they could be improved. Whether it was rebuilding his BMW piece by piece or taking on one of his many projects at home, he worked with patience and precision. He did not rush, and he did not cut corners. For him, building was not just a hobby, it was a reflection of how he moved through life: methodical, intentional, and quietly determined. As the eldest sibling, he carried himself as more than just a brother. He became a second father figure to his younger brother and sister, Rogelin and Natacha, offering guidance, protection, and stability without ever needing to announce it. He showed up for them in ways that were steady and dependable, creating a sense of security that only someone with his strength of character could provide. He did not speak often about sacrifice, but he lived it every day. Roylan had a way of connecting with people that felt natural and genuine. He could become friends with almost anyone, often through shared interests or simple conversation, but what set him apart was not just his ability to connect, it was his willingness to help. He gave his time, his knowledge, and his effort without hesitation, expecting nothing in return. There was a quiet generosity in him, one that came from a place of principle rather than obligation. What made Roylan truly remarkable was not just what he accomplished, but how he carried himself through it all. He did not seek attention or praise. He did not complain when things became difficult. Most of all his parents, who were always proud of him for all his achievements, talent, and wisdom and always have, and always will, love him. Ya fuera reconstruyendo su BMW pieza por pieza o trabajando en alguno de sus muchos proyectos en casa, lo hacía con paciencia y precisión. No se apresuraba ni tomaba atajos. Para él, construir no era solo un pasatiempo, era un reflejo de su manera de vivir: metódica, intencional y silenciosamente determinada. Como hermano mayor, fue más que un simple hermano. Se convirtió en una figura paterna para su hermano y su hermana menores, Rogelin y Natacha, brindándoles guía, protección y estabilidad sin necesidad de decirlo. Siempre estuvo presente de una manera firme y confiable, creando una sensación de seguridad que solo alguien con su carácter podía ofrecer. No hablaba de sacrificios, pero los vivía todos los días. Roylan tenía una forma natural y genuina de conectar con las personas. Podía hacerse amigo de casi cualquiera, muchas veces a través de intereses compartidos o conversaciones sencillas.
