Mary Jane Lynch

Mary Jane Lynch, 91, of Old Bridge passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Mary was born and raised in Pittston, Pennsylvania to Italian immigrant parents, Joseph and Maria Mastorio. She was the youngest and last surviving child of 8. Mary later made Old Bridge her lifelong home. Above all else, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She created a home filled with unconditional love, warmth, and kindness. Although she worked briefly outside her home as a TV tube maker for RCA, her heart was always with her family, whom she cared for with unwavering devotion. Mary had the warmest heart and truly selfless spirit. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, there was always a fresh pot of coffee on the stove waiting for anyone who stopped by to experience laughter and heartfelt conversations. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home. She never hesitated to help someone in need, offer words of encouragement, or simply listen. Her generosity, compassion, and gentle nature made her the beloved matriarch of her neighborhood, and she will be remembered for the love and kindness she so freely shared with everyone she met. Mary loved to sing and had a special talent for yodeling, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around her. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband James Vincent Lynch and her son James Arthur Lynch, and her son-in-law James Cirello III. She is lovingly survived by her daughters Lori Lynch and Sharon Cirello, her grandchildren Alexis Marie, Raiden James, and Lola Maria, her future son-in-law Derek Trimmer (fiancé to Alexis), her great grandchildren Delilah Jane and Flora Ann, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27 2026 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals located at 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church located at 133 Amboy Road, Matawan, NJ. Burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ.
