Maria C. Silva, peacefully passed away on February 4th, 2024, in New Jersey. She was born on May 30th, 1947, in the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal, to her beloved parents, Manuel and Emilia Silva. Maria's life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. She and Angelo were blessed with 57 years of marriage, during which their bond grew stronger with each passing day. They faced life's joys and challenges together, creating a home filled with warmth and unconditional love. Maria had a heart for service and making a difference in her community. She worked tirelessly at the Sayreville band refreshment counter, bringing smiles to countless faces. Maria was also an active member of the South Old Bridge Ladies Auxiliary, dedicating her time and energy to making food and organizing fundraising events, ensuring the betterment of her community. When Maria wasn't busy with her community involvement, she pursued her hobbies and interests with great passion. Traveling to Florida with Angelo allowed her to explore new places and create unforgettable memories. She also cherished the moments spent visiting her family back home in Portugal, reconnecting with her roots and strengthening the bonds that tied her to her heritage. Above all, Maria treasured her family. She found immense joy in spending time with family and watching her grandchildren grow up, taking pride in their every achievement. Her nurturing and loving nature created a safe and loving environment for her family, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. Maria C. Silva was a woman of strength, grace, and kindness. Her selfless dedication to her family and community left an everlasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, and unwavering support. Maria is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Manuel and Emilia Silva. Maria was a loving and caring woman and will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Maria is survived by her loving husband, Angelo Silva, their son Angelo M. Silva and his wife Colleen, and her cherished grandchildren Angelo P. and Adaline. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
