Madeline Klammer

Madeline Klammer, 92, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Early on she was a seamstress, before taking employment doing clerical work for the Teacher's Pension Fund, City of New York. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed cooking and baking. Born in Brooklyn, she resided there most of her life, before moving here 17 years ago. Madeline is predeceased by her husband of 36 years, the late John J. Klammer in 1977. She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Bracken, a son John & his wife Linda Klammer , and her sister Frances Flora all of Old Bridge. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alicia LaVine & her husband Peter, Allyson Turner, Jill Hetzel & her husband James, Jennifer Maldonado & her husband Omar, and Nicholas Klammer. Madeline also leaves her great grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Chase, Xavier, Tavian, Trent & Sofia.Friends may call on Sunday, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Monday, August 13 at 10am from St Ambrose RC Church, Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Committal will follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, L.I., NY.
