Leo Saitta

Leo Saitta, aged 85, of Cape Coral, Florida, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Born on Friday, July 1, 1938, in New York City. Leo was the beloved son of the late Alphonse and Elvira Saitta. At a young age, Leo met Loretta, the love of his life, and on August 2, 1953, they pledged their eternal love in marriage. The couple embarked on a remarkable journey together, starting in Brooklyn, where they raised three beautiful daughters. After their daughters married and moved to Staten Island, they soon followed to spend the rest of their years together. Several years after the passing of his beloved wife Loretta, Leo relocated to Florida, where he spent the final years of his life. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Leo's quiet strength and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Leo was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Loretta, and his loving daughter Theresa Sanacore, along with her husband Frank. He is survived by his adoring daughters Rosemary DiPasquale and her husband John, and Patricia Petrillo and her husband George. Leo also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren John and his wife Nancy, Lauren, Robert, Frankie and his wife Dianna, Georgie and his wife Natala, and Janielle and her husband Andy. He is further survived by his treasured great-grandchildren Christopher, Nico, Lucia, Briella, Julian, Beckett, Gianna, and by his brothers Joseph and Anthony Saitta. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass in Leo's honor will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Joseph - St. Thomas Church, located at 6097 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10312. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, NY.
