Kathryn Sinatra

Kathryn M. Sinatra, 76, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026. Born on July 6, 1949, in Staten Island, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Pascal and Jean Gambardella and one of four cherished children. Kathy grew up on Staten Island, where she attended Francis Scott Key High School for Cosmetology, beginning a career that she held close to her heart throughout her life. She had a true passion for her work, dedicating herself to helping others feel beautiful and confident. Her warmth and talent left a lasting impression on all who sat in her chair. In September of 1975, Kathy married the love of her life, Martin. Together, they built a life rooted in love and devotion, welcoming their daughter, Gina, before settling in Matawan, New Jersey in 1984 to raise their family. Kathy continued working in cosmetology for decades, only recently retiring after a long and fulfilling career. Kathy found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved the beach, basking in the sun, strolling along the boardwalk, and being near the water whenever she could. She was a devoted player of the lottery and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City. At home, she expressed her love through cooking, bringing her family together around meals filled with warmth and laughter. Known for her humor and kind spirit, Kathy had a way of making those around her feel at ease. Above all else, Kathy's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her daughter and carried that same love into her role as a grandmother. Her granddaughters were her world, and she cherished every opportunity to be with them. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Pascal and Jean; her beloved husband of over 40 years, Martin; and her dearly missed infant son, Matthew. Her sister in law Verne, brother in law Nicky and in laws, Martin and Isabella. She is survived by her loving daughter, Gina, and her husband, Sean Feeney; her adored granddaughters, Maddie and Bella; her sister and her husband, Carol Bilbao and Dominick Porzio; her brothers, Pascal Gambardella and his wife Claire Kurs, John Gambardella and his husband Scott Cecil and her brother in law Salvatore Bruzzese; as well as her loving nieces and nephews, Frank, Christopher, Matthew, Daniel, Peter, Lara, John, and Sal, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Kathy will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Moravian Cemetery located at 2205 Richmond Road Staten Island, New York 10306.
