Irene Mitchell

Irene Mitchell, 77 of Forked River, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Born Saturday, August 3, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey, Irene was the daughter of the late Julius and Stella Jadus. Irene grew up in Newark New Jersey and was a graduate of East Side High School. Irene would meet and marry the love of her life Robert Mitchell at St. Casmir's Church. Eventually Irene and Robert would move to Clark. they would start a family of their own while living in Rahway. Having three daughters. Irene was an entrepreneur, and proprietor of Araneos Siporium in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The family enjoyed spending summers in Forked River, and eventually in 1999 Irene and Robert moved there full time. While living in Forked River, Irene became active in the Moose Lodge in Lacey. She enjoyed decorating the house with Lighthouses. Irene enjoyed spending her quiet time completing puzzles and going for long rides in the car. More than anything Irene loved being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed having everyone down to Forked River for her large Easter and Christmas gatherings. Irene was a loving and caring woman who will be missed by all those that love her. Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert, who passed away in 2010, and by her brother John Jadus. Irene is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara DeMarco and her husband Tony, JoAnn Bizzozzaro and her husband Moe, and Susan Mitchell and her husband Joseph Kaliske, by her caring sister Laura Pezik, by her cherished grandchildren, Robert Sheridan, Michael Sheridan, Kristen Sodano, Katrina Medina, Cherrie Arellano, Tara Arellano, and Amanda Mitchell, and by her adored great grandchildren, Gianna, Riley, Juliette, and Theodore. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
