Eileen Fallon

Eileen McCartney Fallon, 82, of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born February 20, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to Scottish and Irish immigrants, John and Eileen McCartney, both deceased. Eileen was raised in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, graduated from St. Joseph High School, and attended Hunter College. Eileen worked for American Fore Insurance Company where she was blessed to meet many lifelong friends. Eileen met her future husband and the love of her life, Joseph Fallon, at a wedding of mutual friends. The beautiful couple married and soon thereafter started a family. Eileen was an active member of the Old Bridge community. She served as an auxiliary member of the Cheesequake Fire Department, was a member of the Holy Trinity PTA, and was the Manager and bookkeeper for Jersey 34 Tennis Club. Eileen was also an active member of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Eileen cherished being surrounded by loved ones and always looked forward to a cup of hot tea, good conversation with family and friends alike and lots of laughs. Eileen was known for hosting many gatherings where she brought people together, created lasting memories and strengthened connections within her community. She enjoyed the many adventures of traveling to Ireland and throughout Europe with her husband, Joe. Among her favorite pastimes were bowling and playing tennis with friends, and attending Book Club at the Plaza Grande. Above all else, Eileen lovingly embraced her role as a devoted mother and doting grandmother to her countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a cherished friend and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Eileen was tragically predeceased by two of her beloved children, Brenda in 1975 and Joe in 2019, as well as her brother Larry McCartney. She lost her loving husband Joseph Fallon in 2020. Eileen is survived by three of her daughters, her daughter-in-law and their families; Eileen Fallon Seitz and her husband Greg, Kathleen Fallon Regan and her husband Sean, Maureen Fallon Kaelin and her husband Mike, and Christina Fusco Fallon, and her 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Frank McCartney, Brian McCartney, Sheila McCartney, and Maureen McCartney Vellanti, and innumerable nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. A Funeral Mass will be said at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church located at 133 Amboy Road, Matawan, New Jersey 07747. Interment will occur at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Burial Park, located at 840 Cranbury-South River Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08831.
