Diane Jackman-Orrico

Diane Jackman-Orrico, 56 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born Wednesday, February 28, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. Diane was the daughter of the late James and Mary Jane Jackman. She was raised on Staten Island and graduated from Tottenville High School. Diane was a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband of 24 years, Thomas Orrico lived in Manalapan, New Jersey where they raised their children Julia Marie and Thomas James. Diane was very involved in her children's lives, she never missed a school activity, football or soccer game. She was an avid skier, a Black Belt in the art of Vahda Kempo, and also taught Kick Boxing. Diane lived for her family and loved hosting big family holidays and parties, especially Thanksgiving. Diane was a Transportation Secretary for two school districts in the area, first in Manalapan, and then in Freehold. Diane was a selfless woman who allowed the National Institute of Health (NIH) to study her autoimmune disease in hope that she could be a part of finding a cure. This is what her family wants her to be remembered for, always thinking and caring about others. She was a beautiful, kind, and, courageous woman whose smile would light up a room. She touched the lives of many. Diane will be dearly missed by all those that were blessed to have had her in their lives. Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Thomas, her loving children, Julia Marie, 22, and Thomas James, 19 her loving step children, Christine and Amy, and grandson Dante, her caring sisters, Maureen DePaola, and Teresa Deliberti, and many loving nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Church located at 58 Main Street Englishtown, New Jersey 07726. Entombment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold, NJ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018, and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday May 20, 2018 at The Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
