Anthony Sherman

Anthony D Sherman, 59, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Born Tuesday, November 12, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey.He was the loving husband of Susan Sherman . A devoted husband, father and Gaga. Anthony was an avid New York Yankees fan. Sometimes a New York Giants fan. He taught himself how to play baseball and was a hell of a player. He always said playing professionally was his missed calling. He loved to cook and was an excellent chef! He could whip up a meal with few ingredients and it would be out of this world. He was a truck driver and member of the NMDU. He loved to go on long car rides, fishing and camping with his best friend and wife of 43 years, Susan. There is no one on this Earth who meant more to him than his grand babies, his world. His smile would light up the room anytime one or all walked in. The family affectionately called him MacGyver. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix. If you needed brakes, home repairs, or gas in your car, Anthony was the one to call. He was outspoken, strong willed and incredibly smart. He could MacGyver his way through any situation. Anthony will be missed so very much by all who loved him. Anthony is predeceased by his Mother Bernadine Murphy, Step-Father David Murphy, Father Joseph Sherman Sr., brothers Joseph and Norman, sisters Donna and Elizabeth. Anthony is survived by his beautiful wife and best friend of 43 years, Susan Sherman. His loving daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Jonathan Seibert of Brick, Tiffany and Michael Savarese of Howell, but most importantly, his four cherished grandchildren. Emmalyn, Owen, Harper, and Bryson. Anthony had a very loving way with children. There was a gravitational pull with his nephew Elliott. He is also survived by his brother William Sherman and his wife June of Keansburg and sister Nancy Pump and her husband Harm of Hunterdon County and many loving nieces and nephews.
