Angelo M. Savino

Angelo Savino, 93, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Angelo was the beloved son of the late Rocco and Madeline Savino. He graduated from New Utrecht High School and went on to continue his education at New York University. In 1952, Angelo proudly answered the call to serve his country when he was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War, serving with honor in the 2nd Infantry Division. Upon returning home, fate led him to the love of his life, Marie, whom he met at the iconic Stork Club in 1959. They were married in 1961 and went on to share 65 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. A devoted Catholic, Angelo was a faithful parishioner of St. Ambrose Church, where he attended Mass regularly. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life. Angelo had a zest for life that was contagious. He loved to sing and dance, filling every gathering with joy. A loyal sports fan, he proudly rooted for the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Known for his quick wit and warm personality, Angelo never missed an opportunity to tell a joke, always delighted by the sound of laughter he could bring to others. Above all, Angelo was a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who brought immense pride and happiness to his life. He was predeceased by his adored son, Michael Savino. Angelo is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie; his cherished daughter, Loren, and her husband, Christopher C. Muhr; and his treasured grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Muhr. Angelo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of faith, laughter, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be at Brigadier General WIlliam C Doyle Veteran Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown NJ 08562.
