Angelina Rossi, 93, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 25, 1932, in Recale, Italy, Angelina was the cherished daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria Pellegrino. She was raised in Italy alongside her siblings, where she completed her education and went on to become a kindergarten teacher—a role that reflected her lifelong love of children and nurturing spirit. In 1960, Angelina married the love of her life, Bart Rossi. Soon after, they embarked on a journey across the sea in pursuit of the American Dream, settling in Brooklyn, New York. There, they built a beautiful life together and raised their three children. Eventually, they relocated to New Jersey, where they spent the remainder of their lives surrounded by family. Angelina was known for her warmth, generosity, and extraordinary cooking. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly prepared homemade pasta, fresh bread, and countless meals that brought her family together. She took great pride in ensuring no one ever left her table hungry, and her "recipes"—and the love behind them—will be treasured forever. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Angelina found her greatest joy in her family. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed creating and mending with her hands. She also loved playing slot machines—once she found a favorite, that’s where you could always find her. Alongside her beloved husband Bart, she enjoyed traveling, especially cruises and winter trips to Florida, returning home to New Jersey each summer. Above all, Angelina’s life was defined by love—love for her husband, her children, and the generations that followed. She created a legacy of cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Angelina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Bart Rossi; her parents, Giovanni and Maria Pellegrino; her sister, Alessandra; and her daughter-in-law, Janice Rossi. She is survived by her loving son, Frank Rossi; her daughters, Angela Bonello and her husband Enzo, and Mary Chan and her husband James; her brother Gaetano; her cherished grandchildren, Charles, Maria, and Vincent; Jonathan and Angelica; and Emily and Elizabeth; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Grace, Charlie, Lizzie, Sophia, Luke, Nico, and Liam. Angelina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, devotion, and family will endure for generations to come. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 17 2026, at Saint Ambrose Church located at 81 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
