Valerie Romeo, 73 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born Sunday, March 3, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys De Chiara. Valerie was raised in Brooklyn. She would go on to graduate from Clara Barton High School. Valerie would meet the love of her life, Tony. the couple would marry and start their family. Eventually moving to the Mill Basin section of Brooklyn to raise their children. Valerie and Tony would move to Old Bridge 5 years ago, to be closer to their children and family. Valerie was an animal lover, she enjoyed being out in nature, spending time camping with her family. She enjoyed cooking. What held the biggest spot in her heart was her family, she lived for her children and grandchildren. Valerie and Tony were set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their wedding nuptials on July 20th. Valerie is survived by her beloved husband, Tony, by her loving children, Stacey Paone and her husband Luciano, Christine Shnayder and her husband Leon, and Linda Dellelba and her husband Vincent, by her cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Angelina, Matthew, and Emma, by her brother Steve De Chiara, and by her fur grandbabies, Gandalf, Sonic, and Gizmo. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at St. Ambrose Church located at 81 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 and Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
