Susan Salja

December 11, 1951 - February 4, 2022

Susan "Cokes" Salja, 70, of Monroe Twp, NJ passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. Born in Summit, NJ, Susan spent most of her life residing in Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Monroe Township 10 years ago. Susan worked in the healthcare industry serving countless patients, for over 50 years. She held many roles in her career, most recently as an OB/GYN nurse at Women's Physicians and Surgeons in Freehold, NJ for the last 30 years. She truly loved her work and made many friends, who have become family along the way. In her life, nothing made her happier than being with her family. Her greatest joy was having the whole family gathered around the table eating a home-cooked meal, laughing and telling stories. Susan met life with bravery and courage, always. In 2004, she received a kidney transplant from a live donor, Linda Argento, her neighbor at the time. All who loved Susan will be forever grateful to Linda for giving her family 18 more beautiful years with the woman they loved so dearly. Susan will live on in the hearts of her husband Joe Salja - the love of her life, her son Christopher Morga, his wife Kelly and grandsons Brandon and Ryan, son Joseph Salja, her faithful companion Patch, brothers John Caporaso, Thomas Caporaso and his wife Amy, Nicholas Caporaso Jr. and his wife Jeanne, many nieces and nephews and countless others who loved her and will miss her beyond measure.
