Roberto Ramos

May 13, 1933 - April 9, 2022

Roberto Ramos, 88 of Old Bridge, New Jersey went home to the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born Tuesday, May 30, 1933 in Puerta De Tierra, Puerto Rico, Roberto was the son of the late Angel and Margaret Ramos. Roberto grew up in San Juan. Roberto was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves and served the country honorably. While living in Brooklyn Roberto attended Kingsborough Community College. He worked for more than 30 years as a security officer for Burns Security, and was head of Bank Security. Roberto was a Christian and a man of strong faith. He would enjoy spending time listening to sermons, attending church services, and reading the bible. Roberto would love to take his yearly walks from Brooklyn to the Bronx, playing sports and watching baseball. But, what Roberto loved the most was being surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving and caring man, who will be deeply missed by all those that were blessed to have him in their lives. Roberto was predeceased by his beloved wife of 30 years, Maggie, and by his loving daughter Linda Matthews. Roberto is survived by his loving children, Robert Ramos, Jacqueline Ramos, and Lisa Ramos, by his caring siblings, Ismael Ramos and Irma Ramos, by his cherished grandchildren, Latoya Matthews, Leticia Ramos, Jasmine Chillious, Davin Carey, and Millard Thomas, and by his cherished great grandchildren Derrick Holmes, Cashmere Chillious, Brianna Chillious, and Isis Rosado. A celebration of Roberto's life will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
