Robert Scaturro Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Scaturro, 79 of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. Born November 27, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, Robert was the son of the late Andrew and Yolanda Scaturro. Robert served his country in the United States Navy and travelled the world on an aircraft carrier. After returning home, he settled down to raise his family. Robert worked for the Transit Authority for 20 years, and after retiring, began a career with the US Postal Service. Most recently he lived in Marine Park, Brooklyn and drove seniors to and from the local senior center. Robert loved golfing and spending time with his close group of friends. He also enjoyed his golf trips and visits to Atlantic City. More than anything Robert loved being with his family. He cherished family vacations and holidays spent together. He was a caring father and grandfather and will be missed by all those that love him. Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Alice Berson and Christine Mattera, his son in law Chris, and his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, John, Caitlyn, Christopher, Alyssa, James, and Stephanie. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Robert will be laid to rest next to his two brothers, Richard and Andrew at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY on Friday, July 8th at 11:30 am.
