Richard Polizzi

December 28, 1950 - May 1, 2020

Richard Polizzi, 69 of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born Thursday, December 28, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Polizzi. Richard was raised in Brooklyn, he would graduate from Aviation High School in Long Island City. After high school Richard would join the US Air Force. He would receive an Honorable Discharge for his service. Richard would meet and marry the love of his life, the former Linda Tagliavia. The couple would marry in Brooklyn. After having their first child they would move to Staten Island. Richard worked for Kone Elevators, he was a District Service Manager. Richard enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He also enjoyed spending time cruising, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a caring man, and will be missed by all those that loved him. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna, and also by his siblings, Frank Polizzi and Tina Albanese. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Linda, by his loving children, Tara Polizzi, and Rich Polizzi and his wife Heather, by his cherished grandchildren, John Jr., Jack, Joielynn, Charlie, Emma, and Derek, and by his caring sister, Roseanne Scaduto and her husband Anthony, and sister in law Ann Polizzi Funeral services will be private.. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.HegartyScaliaFuneralHome.com
