Myrna Tamayo Rivera, fell asleep in death on Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born in the Philippines on April 23, 1965 to Romualdo & Francisca Tamayo. Myrna moved to New Jersey, USA, where she met and fell in love with Larry Rivera. They were married on August 25, 2001 in Edison, New Jersey. Myrna was a very special, loving, caring and supportive wife to Larry. Myrna was educated in nursing and was employed in various capacities; as a Registered Nurse, Critical Care Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Instructor. She loved the Almighty God Jehovah and was a dedicated servant for nearly 33 years. Myrna served as a full-time minister in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and commuted out of state with her husband to New York, assisting the Staten Island Tagalog Congregation of Jehovah ‘s Witnesses since 2010. There, she continued to serve with him until the time of her passing away. Compassion was a way of life for Myrna. She was known to be sensitive, thoughtful, generous and ready to act in behalf of others, attending to their needs, even before her own, if necessary. Her helpful spirit not only impelled her to help others secularly as a medical professional, but even more so when off duty. Often, Myrna with her husband would be among the first to arrive at someone’s home, a hospital, or facility to assist, encourage, and if need be, advocate for family and friends. Up and until the time of Myrna’s death, she demonstrated her unshakeable faith and immense love for her loving God Jehovah and fully trusted in His beautiful Kingdom promises, including the resurrection hope, which is now so very near. Myrna is a very precious and dear servant of Jehovah. Myrna is survived by her husband Larry Rivera of 20 plus years.
