Marlene Redding, 82 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born Tuesday, February 2, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Helene Schoendorf. Marlene was raised in Glendale, Queens. After high school Marlene continued her education at St. John's University, she would go on to earn her Bachelors Degree. It was at St. John's where Marlene would meet her beloved husband, Thomas Redding. The couple would marry, and move to Germany, where Thomas was stationed in the United State Military. They would move back to the United States after the completion of Thomas' service. They lived in Queens, NY, before moving to Old Bridge in 1967. They would raise their family there. Marlene worked as a Marketing assistant for Alpha Associates in Woodbridge, NJ. Marlene's husband Thomas, passed away in 1981. Marlene loving being with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all those that loved her. Marlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, by her parents, William and Helene, and by her brothers, Gerald and Michael. Marlene is survived by her loving children, Kathryn Ann Lynn, Kimberly Nash and her husband David, and Kristin Valanzola and her husband Francis, and by her cherished grandchildren, Michael Lynn, Erin Lynn, John Lynn, and Meghan Valanzola. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Forest Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
