Louisa Russo Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Louisa Russo, 81 of Englishtown, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Born Wednesday, July 2, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, Louisa was the daughter of the late Carmine and Amelia Celeste. Louisa was raised in the Downtown section of Brooklyn. She was a graduate of Queen of All Saints High School. Louisa would further her education by obtaining an Associates Degree from Hunter College. Louisa would have a family of her own, raising her children in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn. After retirement Louisa moved to Hilton Head Island, and Las Vegas, before settling in Englishtown in 2011. Louisa enjoyed her many trips to Atlantic City, where she was the Queen of the slots. She also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and watching Court Room Television shows. Louisa loved spending time with her family, and traveling. She was a loving mother who will be missed by all those that loved her. Louisa was predeceased by her longtime companion John Johnson. Louisa is survived by her loving children, Thomas Russo, and Angela Petrosino and her husband Dominick, by her caring sister, Josephine "Pudgie" Marsella, and by her cherished grandchildren, Dominick and Lucy Petrosino. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
