Immaculate 'Dolly' Ferreira

June 4, 1936 - May 29, 2022

Immaculate 'Dolly' Ferreira, 85 of Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at The Manor Assisted Living Center. Born Thursday, June 4, 1936 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Angelina Petrosino. Immaculate was raised in Manhattan. After graduating from High School, Immaculate worked as a phone operator for the phone company in New York. She would meet the love of her life, Robert 'Bobby' Ferreira and the couple would marry. They lived in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, before settling in Eltingville on Staten Island to raise their children. Later on in life and after Bobby's passing, Immaculate moved to Marlboro and then Covered Bridge in Manalapan. Immaculate loved cooking, especially for the large family gatherings. She loved all of the crooners, and enjoyed getting out on the dance floor, dancing the night away to her favorite music. The summer was her favorite time of the year, she loved going to the beach, and having family BBQ's. Family, that was Immaculate's first love, being surrounded by her children and grandchildren was pure joy for her. She was a caring and loving woman, who will be deeply missed by all those that loved her. Immaculate was predeceased by her beloved husband of 32 years, Bobby, who passed away in 1992, and by her brother Pasquale Petrosino. Immaculate is survived by her loving children, Gary and his wife Gayle, Deneen Cartas, and Thomas and his wife Marie, and by her cherished grandchildren, Carly, Paige, Bobby, Thomas, Christopher, Halley, Julia, Samantha, and Cameron.. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. At 6:00 PM a Catholic Prayer Service will take place.
