Harriet Kaiser

July 10, 1936 - October 24, 2019

Harriet Kaiser, 83 of Howell, New Jersey passed away at home on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Born Friday, July 10, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Jean Schneider. Harriet was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Eastern District High School in Williamsburg, NY, Harriet worked as a bookkeeper at Ben H. Aronson & Son in New York City. During her 20's she had a passion for travel with close friends in addition to attending Broadway shows. Harriet would then marry Robert Kaiser and move to Old Bridge, NJ to raise their two children. The family would eventually settle in Howell, NJ. Harriet loved her family very much as they were her greatest joy. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them as they were the heartbeat to her heart. She also loved playing solitaire, watching game shows especially the older ones, watch reruns of Perry Mason and SVU and most of all card games with her loving grandchildren. She also loved reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was a devoted fan of the New York Mets. She was truly a selfless person as well as a caring mother, grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of 16 and will be immensely missed by all those that loved her. Harriet was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Jean Schneider, by her husband, Robert Kaiser, by her stepson, Alan Kaiser, and by her sister Joan Yusen. Harriet is survived by her loving children, son Eric Kaiser of Jackson, NJ, daughter Marni Kaiser-LaTorre and her wife Janice with whom she resided with in Howell, NJ, stepdaughters Genece Singer and her husband George of Delray Beach, FL, Joi Faraci and her husband Thomas of Staten Island, NY, by her cherished grandchildren and by her adored great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Beth Abraham Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ. Immediately following the cemetery, the family will be sitting shiva at their home of 3 Coddington Court in Howell, NJ. All family and friends are welcome. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey
