Eileen Vollaro

April 23, 1944 - December 4, 2020

Eileen Vollaro, 76 of Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Jersey Shore Medical Center. Eileen was born on Sunday, April 23, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael and Grace Volpe. Eileen was raised in Brooklyn. She was a graduate of New Utrecht High School. Eileen would meet and marry the love of her life, Anthony Vollaro. The couple would live in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, that is where they would raise their own children. Eileen worked at Brooklyn Gymnastics on Bath for over 10 years where she loved being around young children. Eileen also worked at the New York City Department of Sanitation in the billing department. In 1994 the family would move to Staten Island. Eileen was a member of the Ladies Knights of Columbus at her local church, and also a member of the Red Hats Club. In 2015 she would move to The Villages in Freehold. In her spare time Eileen enjoyed reading, and cooking for family and friends. She also enjoyed taking vacations, especially anywhere there was a nice beach. Eileen was a loving woman who will be missed by all those that were blessed to have her in their lives. Eileen was predeceased by her loving son Anthony, who passed away in 1988, and by her beloved husband Anthony, who passed away in 2012. Eileen is survived by her loving sons, Michael and his wife Barbara, Jeff and his girlfriend Liz, and Chris and his wife Lena, by her caring brother, Ronald Volpe, and by her cherished grandsons, Anthony, Michael, Thomas, and John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday at St. Thomas More Church located at 186 Gordons Corner Road Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
