Dorothy E. Adinolfi

June 19, 1939 - December 10, 2021

Dorothy E. Adinolfi, 82 of Matawan, New Jersey passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Born Monday, June 19, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Wiese. Dorothy was raised in Brooklyn. She was a graduate of St. Edmunds High School. Dorothy would meet the love of her life, Joseph Adinolfi and the couple would marry. They lived in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn and that is where they would raise their own children. Eventually they would settle in Old Bridge in 1995. Dorothy worked as a noon supervisor at Carl Sandburg Middle School. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Lawrence Church. Dorothy held many roles at her church including, member of the Altar Rosary Society, Columbiettes, lecturer, and eucharistic minister. In her spare time Dorothy enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, was an avid reader, watching classic movies, and trips to Atlantic City to play the Slots. Dorothy loved getting together with friends to play cards, and was Dean Martin's number one fan. What Dorothy loved the most was being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring woman and will be missed by all those that were blessed to have her in their lives. Dorothy was pre deceased by her beloved husband Joseph (2011), by her loving children, Eugene (2009), and Dorothy (2010), and by her siblings, Louis, Thomas, Joan, and Donald. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Joseph and Desiree, and by her cherished grandchildren, Teresa, Joseph, Eugene, Joseph, and Angelica. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, at St. Lawrence Church. Entombment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery will follow.
