Charles Aboussleman

November 12, 1947 - October 23, 2018

Charles Aboussleman, 70 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Born Wednesday, November 12, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Philip and Elizabeth Aboussleman. Charles attended Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn before entering the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was wounded during peacetime while stationed in Korea. He medically retired from the Army as 100% disabled. He is a hero and was honored as such with a Purple Heart. Charles met the love of his life Diane, they married 36 years ago and they would raise their family in Staten Island before moving to Manalapan. Charles enjoyed playing Golf in his free time, but more than anything he loved spending time with his adored grandchildren and family. He was a caring, selfless individual and will be missed by all who loved him. Charles is survived by his wife Diane, his children Michael Mee and his wife Tara Mee, Michele Trigili and her husband Steven Trigili, his brother Donald Aboussleman, his grandchildren Allison, Nicole, Kevin, Sophia, Jared, Lydia. Charles is predeceased by his parents Philip and Elizabeth Aboussleman, his siblings Phyllis Nocerino and Joseph Aboussleman, and his granddaughter Mia Trigili. In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made in Charles' memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html or Eastern Paralyzed Veterans at 7520 Astoria Blvd, Flushing, NY 11370. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
