Cesar Garcia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cesar Garcia, 91 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born Thursday, October 2, 1930 in New York, New York, Cesar was one of eleven children born to the late Antonio and Maria Garcia. Cesar was raised in the Hell's Kitchen section of New York's West Side. He would start working at an early age. Living in the same building as his family, he would meet the love of his life, Eda, and the couple would marry in 1956. Cesar and Eda would raise a family of their own, first in Chelsea, before moving to the New Springville section of Staten Island. Cesar worked as an operating engineer for many years, until his retirement. Cesar loved to shoot pool and was a huge fan of the New York Mets. Around the old neighborhood Cesar was known as Mr. Fix it and would help many of his neighbors with fixing things and taking care of their home while they were away. Cesar was a loving and caring family man, who will be missed by all those that were blessed to have him in their lives. Cesar was predeceased by the love of his life, Eda, his son Tony Garcia and by all his10 siblings. Cesar is survived by his loving children, Patti Gilmartin, and Robert Garcia and his wife, Tracy, He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Rachel Golinello and her husband Tom, Marc Garcia, Alisa Aquino and her husband Emi, Briana Calogera and her husband Matt, Cara Gilmartin, Jesse Garcia, Giana Garcia, Keelan Garcia and Nina Garcia and by his cherished great grandchildren, Dylan, Mia, Sofia, Nico, and Luca. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Benedict Church located at 165 Bethany Rd Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
