Barbara Gulizio

September 14, 1942 - May 17, 2022

Barbara Gulizio, 79 of Morganville, New Jersey passed on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born Monday, September 14, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stephen and Dorothy Henry. Barbara was affectionately known as 'Nana' to all. St. Patrick's Day was her second birthday and all was green in celebration each year. She enjoyed playing pokeno, cards, bingo, and hosting girls nights and block parties. She was a great cook and was known for making the best meatballs. For every occasion, you could find her shopping at Boscov's, Christmas Tree Shop, or The Dollar Store - making sure that everyone was decked out in holiday themed socks to celebrate. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and would always respond to our 'I love yous,' with 'I love you more.' Her love was palpable and she will be forever felt in our hearts. Barbara is predeceased by parents Stephen and Dorothy Henry and by her brother Stephen Henry. Barbara is survived by her loving children Barbara Gulizio Furman ( Ed Furman), James Gulizio ( Dawn Gulizio), Marilyn Pantaleo ( Michael Pantaleo), Joann Gulizio ( Ralph Ibarra), her caring sisters Carol Ann Rossetti, and Carolyn Montesano, her adored grandchildren Cassi Brodeur, Colton Brodeur, Alyssa Gulizio, Stephanie Furman, Ashley Furman, Joseph Furman, Nicole Simone, Michael Pantaleo, Alexandra Pantaleo, Danielle Simone, Lexi Gulizio, Vincent Gulizio, Jaylynn Fuentes, and cherished great grandchildren Paul James Brodeur, Cameron Brodeur, Naomi Rivera, Mayson Pitt, Naveah Rivera, Lorenzo Sigmund and Barbara's former spouse and dear friend James Gulizio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Barbara's Memory - https://giving.mskcc.org/ A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, NJ 07747.
