Vita Cruciata

Vita Cruciata, born on April 3, 1930, in Castellammare Del Golfo, Italy, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Vito and Maria Domingo. Vita's love story began in her hometown where she grew up alongside Gaspare, the love of her life. They married in 1953 and raised three wonderful children together. In 1969, Vita and Gaspare embarked on a new chapter in America, settling in Brooklyn to build a home and raise their family. While Vita cherished her role as a devoted housewife and mother. She took immense pride in nurturing her family and creating a warm and inviting home. Vita found joy in music, dancing, and being an active member of The Italian-American club, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished memories. Those who knew Vita described her as beautiful, kind, generous, loving, supportive, funny, and caring. She radiated warmth and grace, bringing light and laughter into the lives of all she encountered. Vita's greatest joy came from spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating a tight-knit bond that will endure beyond her passing. Vita was preceded in death by her loving parents, her son Andrea Cruciata, and her son-in-law Antonino Errante. Vita is survived by her devoted daughters, Maria Errante, Sue Bonomo, and husband Paolo. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Caterina Bonomo, Vita Bonomo, Susanna De Jesus and her husband Mike, Gaspare Cruciata, Bridget Errante and her husband Alex Vincenzi, Vita Errante and her fiancé Matthew Reagan, and adored great-grandchildren, Andrea, Salvatore, Vivianna, Carmella, Diego, Lilliana, and Luca, who will always carry her memory in their hearts. In her passing, Vita Cruciata leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. A visitation will be held on Sunday July 7, 2024 between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Michael Hegarty and John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Services. A funeral mass with take place on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Ambrose Church, 96 Throckmorton Lane Old Bridge, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY.
