Vincent Vigliotti

Vincent Vigliotti, of Manchester, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and service to both his family and his country. Vinnie was born on Friday, April 19, 1946, in Staten Island, New York, to the late James and Vincenza Vigliotti. Raised in Staten Island, he attended Tottenville High School before answering the call to serve his country. At just 17 years old, Vinnie enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably from 1963 to 1966, during the Vietnam War. Before his deployment, Vinnie met the love of his life, Kathy, through a mutual family friend. Though separated by thousands of miles while he served overseas, the two remained devoted to one another, exchanging heartfelt letters throughout his time in Vietnam. Upon Vinnie's return home, they got married, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned 57 wonderful years. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with four children. In 1988, Vinnie and Kathy relocated to Jackson, New Jersey, where they made their home and created countless cherished memories, before moving to Manchester, New Jersey in 2023. Vinnie dedicated much of his career to Brooklyn Union Gas Company, as a field technician where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability. After retiring from Brooklyn Union Gas Company in 2001, Vinnie was never one to shy away from hard work, he became the proud owner of the Countryside Lunchenette where he cooked and spent many years preparing meals for events at the Moose Lodge, catering private gatherings and celebrations. While Vinnie took great pride in his work, nothing brought him greater joy than his family. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life. In quieter moments, Vinnie enjoyed reading, watching movies, and taking leisurely walks through the neighborhood, appreciating the simple pleasures of everyday life. Vinnie will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his honorable military service, his hardworking spirit, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Vinnie was predeceased by his beloved son Vincent, Jr. Vinnie is survived by his devoted wife Kathy, his loving children James (Tara), Diane Flynn (Eugene), and Susan Abbonizio (Anthony), his cherished grandchildren Julianne, Lacey, James, Marissa, Drew, Jace, Anthony, Grace, Tommy, Danny, and Madelyn, by his adoring great grandchildren Gia, Julianna, Myah, Carter, and Anthony, and by his caring brothers Ralph (Diane) and Louis (Josephine).
