Salvatore Inguaggiato, 83, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away on April 2, 2026. Born in Valledolmo, Italy, Salvatore was the beloved son of the late Vincenzo and Bartola Inguaggiato. He was raised in his hometown, where he began working at a young age and developed the strong work ethic that would define his life. At 19, he bravely crossed the ocean to begin a new chapter in the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York. Soon after, his family joined him, continuing their close-knit bond in their new home. Salvatore met and married the love of his life, Maria, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion. They eventually settled in Old Bridge, New Jersey, where they raised their family. A passionate and dedicated man, Salvatore founded his own landscaping business, combining his love for flowers and plants with his entrepreneurial spirit. For 30 years, he took great pride in his work before passing the business on to his son upon retirement. Even then, his love for gardening never faded, he found joy in tending to his vegetable garden and nurturing his cherished fig trees. Salvatore had a deep appreciation for style and enjoyed shopping for fine clothing, always taking pride in his appearance. He and his beloved wife Maria shared many happy years traveling to West Palm Beach, Florida, where they escaped the New Jersey winters and created treasured memories together under the warm sun. He also loved Italian music and could often be heard singing along with joy. Above all, Salvatore was a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandsons, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Luigi Inguaggiato and his sister, Rosa Privatera. Salvatore is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Maria; his three sons, Joe Inguaggiato, Salvatore Inguaggiato and his partner Melissa, and Vincent Inguaggiato and his wife Gelsy; his cherished grandsons, Joseph and Nicholas; and his sister, Maria Romana Salvatore will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St. Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Entombment will be in St Rose of Lima, Freehold, NJ.
