Noreen Sytch

Noreen Elizabeth Sytch (nee Drabyk), 87 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed into heaven on Thursday, August 4, 2022, to be with her loved ones who predeceased her. Noreen was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on September 26, 1934 and was raised in Linden, New Jersey. She married Raymond C. Sytch on May 2, 1953 and they moved to Rahway where they started a family. They moved to Old Bridge New Jersey in March of 1960. Raymond built their forever home in 1986. Noreen loved living in Old Bridge and never wanted to move. She loved her backyard and was happy sitting on her back porch watching the bunnies who would hop through the yard. Noreen worked at the Old Bridge Ice Arena for many years where she had many coworkers who became close friends. Noreen was predeceased by her parents Andrew Drabyk and Elizabeth Weiszmiller Drabyk, her husband Raymond Cosmo Sytch, her brother Jon Ernst Drabyk and her only granddaughter Stacey Noreen Cotton. Noreen is survived by her loving children, Denise Stone and her husband Ted, Lori Cotton and her husband Bob, Raymond Sytch and his wife Holly, and Tammy Sytch. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren who she loved with all her heart, Robert Cotton, Devin Sytch and his wife Alicia, Brent Sytch, and Richard Stone and his wife Alecia, and her adored great grandchildren, Christopher Puckett, Cheyenne Sytch, Haylee Sytch and Axton Stone. She is also survived by her brother Andre Drabyk(Valerie) and her sister in law Ellen Drabyk, along with many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, and not to forget her 2 grand puppies who she adored, Kenzie and Sadie. Born the daughter of a furrier, Noreen loved the fur stoles and coats her father Andrew would make for her. She loved to model her furs. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would make the best stuffed cabbage for her family. Noreen loved bowling and bowled for many years at Hill Lanes and was the Secretary of her league for a long time even after she stopped bowling. Noreen also liked to play the slot machines at the casinos in Atlantic City, and she loved drinking Pepsi and eating Entenmanns Cakes. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
