Luigi Nuzzolese

Luigi Nuzzolese, 94 of Morganville, New Jersey passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born Sunday, April 20, 1930 in Bari, Italy, Luigi was the son of the late Cataldo and Maria Nuzzolese. Luigi was raised in Bari, and it was there he would meet the love if his life, Addolorata. The couple would marry, and eventually would settle in Venezuela, post World War II. It was there they would start a family of their own. In 1966 the family would settle in Bayonne, New Jersey. Luigi opened his own Auto Body shop in Bayonne, Gino's Auto Body. He would continue to work there until his retirement. Luigi and Addolorata moved to Morganville 30 years ago, to be closer to their family. Luigi had a green thumb, and was often found tending his garden. He could grow fruit trees from just using a pit, and always offered the fruits of his hard labor to his family. Luigi also enjoyed making his home made wines, and then drinking those wines with a delicious meal prepared by his beloved Addolorata. Luigi was a handyman around the house, always finding a way to fix different things, and offer a helping hand to others. Luigi was a loving and caring family man, who will be deeply missed by all those that love him. Luigi is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Addolorata, by his loving children, Maria Romano and her husband Nicholas, Rosa Pavia and her husband Anthony, Aldo Nuzzolese and his wife Kathy and Joseph Nuzzolese and his wife Karen, by his cherished grandchildren, Lisa Bruno, husband Patrick, Doreen Mayrell, husband Michael,Anthony Pavia, wife Kim, Louis Nuzzolese, wife Joanna, Kristina Almonte, husband Christopher, Louis Nuzzolese, wife Dana, Kristen Sopher, husband Matt, and Gabriella Nuzzolese, and by his adored great grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, and Jordan Bruno, Sofia, Anthony, and Matthew Mayrell, Maisie and Nathan Almonte, Olivia Nuzzolese, Sam Pavia, and Donovan and Vincent Nuzzolese. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St Clements Church located at 172 Freneau Ave Matawan, New Jersey 07747. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
