Louise Vuola

Louise Vuola, 87 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Born Monday, August 14, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Dattilo. Louise was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. After graduating from High School she would meet and marry the love of her life for 68 years, Richard Vuola. They first lived in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn where they raised their 3 daughters. They then moved in 1969 to 'The Farm' in Marlboro, NJ. Louise attended school and graduated with a degree in Cosmetology Instruction. She began teaching at Wilfred Academy, Neptune NJ. She enjoyed dancing, especially to disco music and loved the beach. Louise was always conscious of health and fitness. At the age of 60 she began Taekwondo and achieved the level of 2nd degree black belt. She was proud to be able to donate her crocheted and knitted blankets to the Linus Club for children in need. Louise and Richard were long time members of The Order Sons of Italy. She also enjoyed being a part of the local Woman’s Club. Louise was an excellent cook and loved surrounding herself with family and friends. It was in recent years that Louise and Richard moved to Old Bridge. Louise was a loving woman, generous hostess with family as her focus. She was always smiling and positive. She will be missed by all those that were blessed to have her in their lives. Louise is survived by her beloved husband, Richard, by her loving daughters, Janice Esposito and husband Doug, Lisa Shareshian and husband Alan, and Helena Perri and husband John, by her caring siblings, Anthony Dattilo and Marie Cook, by her cherished grandchildren, Katherine, Jennifer, Lisa, Danielle, Theresa, Kristy, Bonnie, and Amy, and by her adored great grandchildren, R.J., Carmine, Gabriella, Grace, Alex, Dylan, Miles, and Lennon Louise. Her pre-deceased sisters Anna Barone and Catherine Zambardi. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Entombment will be in Holmdel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
