Kathleen Dufresne

Kathleen 'Kathy' Dufresne, 54 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Care One of East Brunswick, surrounded by the love of her family. Born Tuesday, September 21, 1965 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Mullaghy. Kathy was born and raised in Jersey City and graduated from St. Aloysius High School where she would meet the love of her life, Richard Dufresne. Kathy would then attend Secretarial College and begin her career as an administrative assistant. Kathy and Rick married in May of 1987 and begin their life together. They moved to Old Bridge and raised their family. Kathy was very active in her sons lives and was an active mother in the Sayrewood South Little League, Old Bridge Soccer league, and as a parent leader of the Old Bridge High School Track team. It was during these years she would further her education and gain multiple licenses while working in the financial field. She was employed as an Executive Desk Assistant for the National Bank of Canada in New York. In recent years Kathy was a supporter of the St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus in Old Bridge. She spent much time volunteering for the many functions of the council. She was an avid reader and never missed an opportunity to watch a good movie on the Hallmark Channel. Kathy was a caring, loving, and beautiful woman who will be missed by all those that were blessed to have known her. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Richard Dufresne, by her loving sons, Richard, John, and Kevin, by her loving parents, Thomas and Catherine Mullaghy, by her caring sister, Eileen Deegan, and caring brothers, Thomas Mullaghy and his wife Barbara, and Brian Mullaghy and his wife Gladys, by her caring sister in law, Ruth Bihuniak and her husband Peter, and caring brother in laws, Gerard Dufresne Jr., Donald Dufresne and his wife Pamela, Robert Dufresne and his wife Laura, Steven Joyce and his wife Teresa, and Edward Dufresne and his wife Trish, and by many loving nieces and nephews.
