Joseph R Muscaro

Joseph R. Muscaro, 84, of Old Bridge passed away peacefully Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was an insurance company representative for over 40 years, more recently with St Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, Iselin, retiring in 1998. Born in Brooklyn he resided there for 40 years before relocating to Old Bridge for the last 42 years. He was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Usher Society at both Holy Spirit RC Church in Brooklyn and at St. Ambrose RC Church, Old Bridge. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Sea Cadets at Holy Spirit. Joseph also served on the Old Bridge Special Police Force. He is predeceased by his brothers, Michael A. Muscaro, Jr. in 1960, and Gaetano G. Muscaro in 2009. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosemarie nee Donadio Muscaro and his three children, Luanne & her husband Michael Buonpane of Easton, PA., Joseph & Joanne Muscaro of Howell, and Linda & Vincent Gumina of Manalapan. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Kayla and Kyrie. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy Old Bridge 08857. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Thursday, August 23 at 10am from St Ambrose RC Church, 96 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Committal will be private.
