John Muranelli, Sr.

John Muranelli, Sr., 77 of South Amboy, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born, November 8, 1943 in Bronx, New York. John was the son of the late Ralph and Rose Muranelli. John was born in the Bronx, NY where he was raised with his two brothers and sister. He would graduate from Evander High School and go on to earn an Associate�s Degree from the Bronx Community College, class of 68�. And then go on to attend Harvard Business School. John would meet the love of his life Jane, on the beach. They married in 1966, and would go on to have three children together. After settling in South Amboy, New Jersey where raise their three children. John would go on to work for Citi Group and become the Vice President of the company, for banking and would work there until his retirement in 2000. John loved to travel, he and Jane took many cruises seeing the world and enjoying life. He enjoyed his occasional trips to Atlantic City to gamble. He loved to watch horse racing and Fox News politics. He�s known for making delicious lasagna, his family couldn�t get enough of. John took great pride in helping people. He liked to stay busy, and if something needed to be fixed �I can do it,� is what he would tell you with no hesitation. He was aman of few words and was always there to offer any kind of help. John especially loved making time for family reunions, he loved seeing everyone together and being in great company of people cared so much for. John was a great man, and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. John is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Rose Muranelli. His brothers Ralph and Joseph Muranelli, his sister Rose Ann Boyle. And son in law Tommy Miller. John is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jane. By his loving children, Stacey Miller, John Muranelli Jr. and Matthew Muranelli and wife Lori; by his caring brother; Joel Muranelli and by his cherished grandchildren, Cody Miller, Kyle Miller, Shaynna Shepard, Gia Muranelli, John John Muranelli lll, and Tyler Muranelli. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Bernadette Church located at 20 Villanova Road Parlin, New Jersey 08859. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sayerville, NJ. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
