John A Gallucci, Sr.

John Anthony Gallucci, Sr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on August 16, 2025, in Marlboro, New Jersey. Born in Brooklyn, New York, John was the son of Mario and Madelaina Gallucci. He was a proud alumnus of St. Michael's High School and went on to build a life centered around family, business, and community. John's legacy is deeply rooted in both his entrepreneurial spirit and his close-knit family. He founded Brill Surgical in Brooklyn, where he worked tirelessly for years before retiring in 2010. Throughout his career, he earned a reputation for integrity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence that extended beyond the walls of his business. John was married to Anna Marie for 64 years until her passing in 2022. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared memories. He was the loving father of John Anthony Gallucci Jr. (Dawn) and Mario Gallucci, (Chrissy) and a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Jamie Gallucci, Stephanie Gallucci, Andrew Gallucci, Charles Gallucci, and Kevin Budge. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, often playing with them and sharing his many interests, from golf to racquetball, and square dancing to his love of classic films - especially those starring Marilyn Monroe. A man of deep faith, John was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Richmondtown, Staten Island. He was also actively involved in several community organizations, including the St. Patrick's Society and the Italian Club of Staten Island, Inc., where he forged lifelong friendships. John was predeceased by his parents, Mario (1987) and Madelaina (1972), his siblings Mario Gallucci (1986) and Sabina Alonzo (2016), and his beloved wife, Anna Marie (2022). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's memory to The Valerie Fund for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders (www.thevaleriefund.org) or Covenant House of New Jersey, organizations that were close to his heart. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for his family, his passion for life, and his unwavering commitment to his community will remain a cherished part of his enduring legacy.
