Jodi Loverde passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 10, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, Jodi was the beloved daughter of the late John and Marie Loverde. She was one of three daughters and was raised in Brooklyn, where she built a life rooted in family, friendship, and community. Jodi attended Lafayette High School, where she formed many lifelong memories and connections. Jodi dedicated 15 years of her life working as a school aide at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, a role she truly cherished. She found great joy in helping others and being part of the school community, where her kindness and warmth touched countless lives. Later in life, Jodi found a beautiful and lasting love with her devoted boyfriend of 10 years, Joe. Their love story began and it was truly love at first sight. They then made a life together in New Jersey. From that moment on, they were inseparable, sharing laughter, companionship, and countless cherished memories together. Jodi had a deep love for the beach and the pool and could often be found enjoying the sun, especially at her favorite place, Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn, a spot that always kept her connected to her roots. She also had an immense love for her family. Holidays and celebrations were so very important to her. She treasured her sisters, nieces, and nephews, and her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her great-niece and great-nephews, who always brought a smile to her face. Jodi will be remembered as a funny, kind, loving, and vibrant woman whose warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Jodi was predeceased by John and Marie Loverde. She is survived by her loving sisters, Donna (Ron) and Lorraine (John); her cherished boyfriend, Joe; her niece Janine (Chris); her nephews Ronny (Dana), Christopher, and Matthew; and her beloved great-nephews Michael, Christopher, and Anthony and her adored great-niece Nessa. Family and friends will forever hold Jodi in their hearts, remembering her laughter, her love, and the joy she brought into their lives. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
