Jacklyn Thomas

Jacklyn Thomas, born on August 14, 1956, in Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 69. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Jacklyn was a proud graduate of William L. Dickinson High School in Jersey City. She later made her home in Florida, where she resided for the past 35 years. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. Jacklyn also took great pride in supporting her community, including sponsoring Little League teams. She was the proud owner of Jackie's Market in Florida, where she built lasting relationships and became a familiar and friendly presence to many. Jacklyn is survived by her beloved husband, Lester Thomas Jr.; her devoted daughter, Tina Riley, and son-in-law, Bobby; and her cherished stepdaughters, Rachelle Normandeau and Melissa Thomas. She is also survived by her loving siblings, her sister, Robin Corio and her husband, Mike Corio, and her brother, Dennis Stuart. Jacklyn was a cherished aunt to Michael Corio Jr. and Dawn Civitello and her husband, Joe Civitello. She was a proud and loving great-aunt to Mikey and Aiden Corio, as well as Joseph and Giovanni Civitello. She was also an adored great-niece to Vincent Callan and a beloved cousin to many. A devoted grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren, Jacklyn found immense joy and pride in each of them. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth Lynch and Francis Stuart, as well as her brothers, Francis and Charles. Jacklyn will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the deep love she held for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackies memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle located at 1 St Thomas Plaza Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
