Ilva Richburg

Ilva Richburg, 93 of Seaside Heights, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Born Friday, February 14, 1930 in New York, New York, Ilva was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise Volini. Ilva was raised in the Manhattan Beach section of Brooklyn, and was a graduate of Lafayette High School. Ilva worked for many years in the Admissions department of Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn. Ilva would start a family of her own and raise her children in Brooklyn. Later in life Ilva would meet and marry Ray Richburg, and the couple would retire moving to Sumpter South Carolina. After Ray's passing Ilva moved to Old Bridge to be closer to family. Ilva was always dressed to the nines, taking great care in her appearance, always having a keen eye for fashion. She devoted her life to her family. When she had time to relax Ilva enjoyed sitting and watching her favorite television programs. Ilva was a caring and loving woman who will be deeply missed by all those that were blessed to have her in their lives. Ilva was predeceased by her husband Ray Richburg, by her parents, Benjamin and Louise Volini, by her siblings, Alphonsina Volini, Angelina Grushinsky, Bernadette Mita, and Michael Volini, and by her grandson Michael Iacone. Ilva is survived by her loving children, Ronald Iacone and his wife Mary, Joanne Catalano and her husband Joseph, and Jamie Iacone and his wife Diane, by her caring siblings, John Volini and Gloria Belcastro, by her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Calhoun, Joseph and Alexandra Catalano, Ronald and Maray Iacone, Thomas and Ashley Iacone, Christina and Douglas McGarry, and James Iacone, and by her adored great grandchildren, John Michael, Jackson, Madison, Joseph, Ronald III, John Luca, Brady, and Kaylee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
