Fannie Masseria

Fannie Masseria, 91 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Wednesday, January 20, 1932 in Queens, New York, Fannie was the daughter of the late Walter and Frances Meyers. Fannie was raised in Astoria After graduating high school Fannie went on to work as a seamstress. It was at work she would meet the love of her life, Joseph Masseria. After a courtship the couple married and would first live in Astoria before moving to Bensonhurst to raise their children. They would eventually move to Staten Island before settling in Old Bridge. Fannie enjoyed spending time playing Bingo and also different types of card games. She enjoyed going bowling and shopping. Whenever a good song came on she wouldn't hesitate to get up and dance. Fannie loved being with her family the most, she was always there to care for each and everyone of the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all those that were blessed to have her in their lives. Fannie was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph, who passed away in 2022. Fannie is survived by her loving children, Angela Bellomo and her husband Anthony, Frank Masseria and his wife Anna, and Joseph Masseria Jr, and his wife Michele, by her cherished grandchildren, Laura Aversano, Tony Bellomo Jr and his wife Robin, Debra Marquis and her husband Jason, Charles Bellomo and his wife Danielle, Cathy Pellecchia and her husband Chris, Joseph Masseria and his wife Amanda, Angela Masseria, Kristine Masseria, Nicole Masseria, Josephine Comitini, Isabella Comitini, and Christopher Comitini, and by her cherished great grandchildren, Reese, Gianna, Andrew, Maria, Anthony, Frank, Lexi, CJ, Tony III, ,Charles, Giuliana, Gabriella, Charlotte, Frankie and Nicholas. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Saint Ambrose located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ.
