Dianna M. DeRose, beloved wife, devoted mother, and dedicated educator, passed away on January 17, 2024 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She was born on October 1, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York, to Michael and Mary Czip. Dianna shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with her beloved husband, Gilbert, for 31 years. They began their life together in Staten Island before settling in Old Bridge in 1994. Together, they built a strong and loving foundation for their family, cherishing every moment and creating countless cherished memories. As a mother, Dianna was a source of unwavering support and boundless love for her three sons, Michael, Alex, and Daniel. She adored her boys and ensured that they always felt her guidance, encouragement, and nurturing presence in their lives. Dianna's love extended beyond her children; she shared a deep affection for her cherished dogs, Mia and Nico, who brought her immeasurable joy and companionship. Dianna's professional life was marked by her unwavering dedication to education and her service to the New York City Department of Education. For 36 years, she contributed her knowledge, passion, and expertise in various roles within the organization. Dianna's commitment led her to become the Assistant Principal at PS 56 on Staten Island until her retirement in 2021, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students, teachers, and staff. Her tireless efforts and compassionate nature will forever be remembered by the school community. Outside of her professional life, Dianna was a woman of many interests and passions. Above all, her devotion to her family was unparalleled. She treasured every moment spent with Gilbert and her sons, creating beautiful memories through family outings, holidays, and simple moments of togetherness. Dianna's love was felt by all who knew her, and her family was her greatest source of joy. In her free time, Dianna found solace in shopping and enjoyed discovering new treasures to brighten her home and the lives of her loved ones. Cooking was also a beloved hobby of hers, as she delighted in preparing delicious meals that brought smiles to the faces of those around her. Dianna's culinary talents added warmth and flavor to family gatherings and celebrations, creating lasting memories centered around good food and shared laughter. Dianna M.
