Charles W. Barney

Charles W. Barney, 82, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro. Born in Irvington, Charles had lived in Piscataway before moving to Las Vegas for 24 years, recently moving back to New Jersey 4 months ago. He was a collections supervisor for PSE & G in East Brunswick for 32 years retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, and was a member of VFW Post 100 in Las Vegas. Charles enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling, Zane Grey novels, and playing cards with friends. Charles was predeceased by his wife, Marion T. Barney, in 2013; and his sisters: Bertha Bartek, Dorothy Boccadutre, & Katherine Collins. He is survived by his daughter, Trisha Barney; his brother, John Barney Jr.; and his sister, Elizabeth "Bibby" Whipp. Graveside Committal Service and US Army Honor Guard services will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11 am at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ.
