Carmina Bisignano

Carmina Bisignano, age 69, passed away surrounded by the love of her immediate family on April 14, 2019. She was born January 16, 1950 in the town of San Giorgio a Liri, a municipality in the Province of Frosinone within the region of Lazio, Italy. She married her husband of 46 years, Vincent Bisignano, on April 14, 1973. Carmina is survived by her husband Vincent, daughter and her husband Jennifer and Scott Zellin, grandon Nicholas Zellin, her son Joseph Bisignano and his partner Rodney DeVriendt. Carmina was born fourth among eight children born to Tecla and Luigi Lucciola (predeceased). She joins her sister Anna Manganaro in heaven and is survived by Frances DiNorcia, Gemma Cantarella, Rose Hoefer, Maria Nigido, Gerard Lucciola and Toni Acuna and many nieces and nephews. After coming to America and completing her studies, Carmina worked as a customer service representative for AT&T until she became an employee for Sephardic Senior Center where she cared for senior citizens attending for daily meals and entertainment. This suited her compassionate heart and endless hospitable drive for making everyone around her feel special and loved. Anyone who knew Carmina would know her deep love for cooking, shopping, and gardening in the spring and summer months- and unforgettable talent for creating beautiful and magnificent Christmas trees every year in celebration of her most cherished holiday. In the recent years, Carmina’s most memorable and joyous times were watching and supporting her grandson, Nicholas, compete with the Special Olympics New Jersey Monmouth Marlins swim team. She always showed such pure joy and pride in experiencing his success winning endless gold medals. Carmina showed her children the meaning of being a parent and supported Jennifer endlessly through her business career in Human Resources. She had tremendous pride in Joseph’s career in veterinary medicine and shared in his love of animals. There are not enough words to describe just how important Carmina was to her family and what a powerful influence she will continue to be. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal. Carmina’s wake will be held at the Michael Hegarty and John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Service, located at 3377 U.S. 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857 on Tuesday, April 16th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, April 17th at 10:30 AM at St. Aloyisius Church, located at 935 Bennetts Mills Road in Jackson, NJ 08527. She will be entombed on Wednesday, April 17th at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleums, located at 549 County Road 520, Marlboro Township, NJ 07746.
