Camille Grant

Camille Grant (nee Romanelli) passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and selflessness. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her. Camille was the beloved wife of the late Richard Grant, with whom she shared a lifetime of love since their marriage on February 1, 1964. She was a devoted mother to Stacey Lawrie (William), Richard Grant (Stacie), Kelly Grant-Ranno (Robert), and Amy Farragher (Michael). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Caitlin, Nicholas, Sean, Saige, Molly, Jameson, and Corey (Erin), and a treasured great-grandmother to Emma and Ellie. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dominick Romanelli, Thomas Romanelli, Patricia McNutt, and Debra Biondi, as well as her beloved son-in-law, Robert Ranno. Camille was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. A graduate of New Dorp High School, Class of 1955, she worked as a dedicated secretary at Chemical Bank before stepping into her most cherished role: that of a loving mother. Together with her husband Richie, she built a strong and loving family that remained the center of her world for the rest of her life. A woman of deep faith, Camille was guided throughout her life by strong values and a steadfast spirit. She was deeply kind and caring, and her gentle warmth inspired affection in everyone she met. Even those who knew her only briefly were touched by her sweet nature. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: reading, cooking, and traveling to Florida with her husband. She loved watching true crime documentaries and old movies. She was an incredibly gifted cook and had a special talent for creating delicious meals from whatever ingredients she had on hand. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of a home-cooked meal. Above all, Camille was family-oriented, devoted, and selfless. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, hosting family gatherings, and celebrating holidays, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She will be remembered for always going above and beyond to help her family, friends, and neighbors. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services will be private, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
