Alice K Eccles

Alice K Eccles, 85, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. She was a homemaker who worked for a couple of years at Mandy's Department Store. She did volunteer work as a Girl Scout Leader, as a recording secretary of the Old Bridge Seniors, as well as with the Old Bridge Library and Bingo as a communicant of St. Ambrose RC Church in Old Bridge. Born in Jersey City, she resided there most of her life, moving here in 1989. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, the Late Robert V. Eccles on April 26, 1989, a sister the Late Mary Miller,and a brother the Late Leonard Korry. Surviving are her children, Robert L. Eccles, Katherine E. Nitto, and Susan Wojcik, along with 7 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. Friends may call on Monday, November 2, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857. 732-679-4422. A Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday at 10:30am from St Ambrose RC Church, Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Committal will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gill Lane, Iselin.
